The purpose of my choice is to define the importance of festivals which will help to improve the infrastructure of a destination, maintain losing customs and traditions, and also which will be in a great importance to grow the number of long haul travelers.

 Study the development of tourism, its types and forms, event tourism, event management, types of events, and study theoretical information such as the role of festivals in the development of tourism;  Foundation and advancement of events in Uzbekistan, uzbek events, creations of festivals “Sharq taronalari” and “Silk and Spices” , study their contribution to tourism industry.  According to the theoretical information, suggest arrangement structure and program of the festival devoted to “Amir Timur`s 680th anniversary or Bukhara at the period of Timurids”.  Study Timurids dynasty and their period, social – political , cultural life of Bukhara in the XIV – XV centuries, moreover study historical monuments reconstructed being preserved to our days, thus use marketing measures to commerce the festival program. Event tourism Event tourism is a systematic planning, development, and marketing of festivals and special events which will serve as a catalyst for infrastructure and economic growth. Derivation of first arranged events goes far as the ninetieth of the XX century, with the establishment of event management organizations.

Festivals are organized in order to answer the specific needs of a community and in the same time to offer entertainment for participants and also visitors. They will focus on cultural and specifically ethnic topics. Festivals provide numerous benefits not only for the individual business but also for a community and tourism region. They can be as follows:  increase visitation and receipts  reduce seasonality  encourage repeat visitation  heighten regional awareness  provide the stimulus for additional infrastructure development in the local area

“ Silk and Spices” festival Organization since 2000 Founders "Uzbektourism" Bukhara regional branch, Association of Artisans “Khunarmand”, former Bukhara Tourism Association Goal - to preserve the existing cultural heritage with all its specific features and level of artistic skill, as well as support the arts and crafts works of artisans. Activities – parade, conference, trade of silk and spices, cultural programs, fashion show, sports and cuisine competitions. Contributed to the growth of domestic tourism, fostered infrastructure, presented full tourist potential of the region.

Concluding the presentation of the thesis I would like to recommend following suggestion s: Strengthen the basis of events though establishment of event management companies; Educate and train skilled personnel of this sphere, provide them conditions to improve the their qualification abroad; For increasing uzbek events, for further development of the tourism industry, promotion of the country organize festivals, thus show participants and visitors national customs and traditions; Improve promotional measures as marketing mass media and social network for the attention of travelers to uzbek events; Support researches and ideas in order to increase regional festivals and organize competition contests though out the country; Promote the concept of festival devoted to the “680 th anniversary of Amir Temur, or Bukhara at the period of Timurids”.
